UNIVERSITY OF CENTRAL MISSOURI
Welch-Schmidt Center for Communication Disorders
Audiologic Evaluation Report
CLIENT:
Andrea Raisin
DATE OF BIRTH: 6-24-81
CLINICIANS: Amy Arsenault and
Jaime Wigner
DATE OF EVALUATION: 2-7-01
HISTORY:
Andrea Raisin, a 19 year-old female, was seen at the Welch-Schmidt Center on February
7, 2001 for an Auditory Brainstem Response (ABR). The purpose of the evaluation was
for extra credit in Dr. Wilson's class. Andrea reported no problems hearing. She denies
tinnitus, vertigo, family history of hearing loss, and ear infections. She is not currently
taking any medication.
RESULTS:
The Auditory Brainstem Response (ABR) evaluation utilizing alternating clicks (19.1/s)
presented at an intensity of 75 dB nHL revealed repeatable wave forms for both ears.
Wave I latencies were obtained at 1.63 milliseconds (ms) in the left ear and 1.67 in the
right ear. Wave III latencies were obtained at 3.95 ms in the left ear and 3.78 in the
right ear. Wave V latencies were obtained at 5.50 ms, bilaterally. The wave I-V
interpeak latencies (IPL) were 3.88 ms for the left ear and 3.83 for the right ear. No
interaural latency difference for Wave V was obtained, indicating normal retrocochlear
function.
IMPRESSIONS:
The results indicate Andrea has normal retrocochlear function, bilaterally.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
It is recommended that Andrea:
1) Return to the clinic for a re-evaluation if a change in hearing is noted.

February 7, 2001 at our clinic.
As we discussed after the evaluation, results suggest normal retrocochlear function in
the both ears.
It is recommended you:
1) Return to the clinic for a re-evaluation if a change in hearing is noted.
Please feel free to contact the clinic at (660) 543-4993 if you have any questions or if we
