Research interests
Constraint-Based Approaches to Planning and Scheduling. In particular:
- Scheduling with Uncertainty,
- Scheduling Algorithms and Heuristics,
- Temporal and Resources Reasoning,
- Integration of Planning and Scheduling.
Professional experiences
- Since 1999 participation at research activities at the Planning & Scheduling Team, PST, working at
different tasks involved in developing Planning and Scheduling Research Projects:
- O-Oscar (since 1999): an object-oriented architecture for definition, representation and solution of
scheduling problems. He has been responsible for extending the representation language to deal
with consumable resource.
- Mexar (2001 - 2002): an object-oriented architecture for definition, representation and solution
of space issue of planning and scheduling problem. Research conducted for the European Space
Agency (ESA). He has been responsible for the problem solving module.
- RoboCare (since September 2004): a distributed and heterogeneous platform, consisting of a hardware and software prototype. The goal of the RoboCare project is to build a multi-agent system
which generates user services for human assistance.
- Mexar2 (since May 2005): an object-oriented architecture for definition, representation and solution of space issue of planning and scheduling problem. Research conducted for the European
Space Agency (ESA). He has been responsible for the problem solving module.
- January – August 2003. Visiting Student Scholar at the Robotics Institute of the Carnegie Mellon University (USA)
