The theory according to science today
Primitive earth





Water, Methane, Ammonia and Hydrogen are
believed to be the first primitive molecules found on
planet earth.
The elements included in these molecules are:
CARBON, OXYGEN, HYDROGEN & NITROGEN
These four elements alone are capable of making
complex molecules such as proteins, amino acids,
DNA
These elements according to theory joined to create
the very first primitive cell.

THE FIRST LIFE FORMS TO APPEAR



According to fossil record life appeared on earth
around 3.8 billion years ago.
These first life forms consisted of singe celled
microbes ‘prokaryotes.’
More complex singe cells are believed to have
evolved later, the ‘eukaryotes.’


Did eukaryotes evolve from
prokaryotes?



One prokaryote engulfs other single cells that turn
out to be beneficial.
The cyanobacterium can photosynthesise (make their
own glucose like plants!)
The aerobic bacterium can respire (make energy
from oxygen and glucose
