This paper submits a list of localities of selected weed species occuring in the Wallachian
region (East Moravia, Czech Republic). Thirty-five rare or endangered species within the
territory of the Czech Republic are included as well as species generally common but rare
within the area studied. Some comments on their ecology, phytogeographical or
phytosociological affinities are added. Rare species, such as Bromus arvensis, Kickxia elatine,
Odontites verna, Stachys annua and Camelina microcarpa were seldomly found. Other
species traditionally considered as rare, such as Ranunculus arvensis, Aphanes arvensis or
Centaurea cyanus occur more often especially in the Hostýnské vrchy Mts. The species
widespread in warmer parts of the Czech Republic, such as Thlaspi perfoliatum, Veronica
polita, Erodium cicutarium, Setaria pumila, Lithospermum arvense, Neslia paniculata,
Geranium pusillum and Lamium amplexicaule were found to be rare in the study area.
