Objective:
Participate in an online energy discussion post on http://bergmannscience.wikispaces.com and gain perspective from other
classmates.
How do you get started?
First log in to wikispaces after creating an account user name and password. Then, go to the above url and click on the
discussion board tab at the top of the page. Now you are ready to voice your opinion and have online conversations
regarding important energy questions that are happening in our global community.
How will you be graded?
In order to receive full credit on this assignment, you must post a thoughtful comment or reflection that demonstrates your
understanding/beliefs in each of the following discussion threads: (5 posts total = full credit)
1. What energy solutions can you think of for a world that will increase its population by a billion people over the
next 10 years?
2. What small things can people do to make a big difference in global energy problems?
3. Is human-kind’s actions and economic decisions contributing to global climate change? If so, what can we do to
fix it? Is it too late?
4. Express your thoughts or concerns with the idea that the world population is growing at an alarming rate. We
are expected to have another BILLION people inhabiting the planet by 2020.
5. Reflect on what you read in the above discussion forums and share your gained perspective demonstrating what
you learned from this exercise. You must list at least 3 things you learned to earn full credit.
