PART 3 - EXECUTION
3.1
INSTALLATION
A.
Install in accordance with manufacturers installation instructions, applicable NEC codes, local
codes, and the requirements of the authority having jurisdiction.
B.
Install SPDs with conductors between suppressor and points of attachment as short and straight
as possible. Adjust circuit-breaker positions to achieve shortest and straightest leads.
C.
Use ILSCO® Cool Seal® connectors and splices when additional lead length may be needed.
Wire nuts are unacceptable. Do not exceed 36-inches (914-mm) combined lead length without
consulting a factory representative.
3.2
FIELD QUALITY CONTROL
A.
Perform the following tests:
1.
2.
If applicable, compare equipment nameplate data for compliance with drawings and
specifications.
Verify that electrical wiring installation complies with manufacturer's written installation
requirements.
