Our client, a Fortune 500 global consumer packaged goods company, is looking for a Director Integrated
Marketing Communications. This company’s products touch the lives of nearly a billion people every
day.
Reporting to the Senior Director Integrated Marketing Communications - Connections, the Director of
Integrated Marketing Communications Connections – Pharma/MD&D will be responsible for leveraging
key relationships with external partners to manage media buying and planning within the US market,
managing over $273MM in media in direct partnership with the US marketing organization. In addition,
the Director will provide thought leadership to drive and inform a global media Connections Model both
internally and externally in terms of agency models and for the broader organization.
The Director will work closely with IMC Content and Media Investment lead to develop the agency
network to cultivate further global scale and value creation. In addition, the position will ensure best in
class delivery of brand message through various global and local communications channels, leveraging
current and evolving analytic and insight models.
The Director of Integrated Marketing Communications - Connections will lead transformation of media
investment from a current television focus to a more digitally centric approach. The incumbent must
ensure ad placement strategies based on sound analytics and ROI models. This position will identify and
facilitate strong media partnerships at a global level as well as drive robust media communities by
sharing best practices and collaboration between countries.
This position will take a key strategic leadership role within the organization, so the right candidate must
have strong change leadership skills and be able guide media partnerships to drive business results.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree required; advanced degree in Marketing, Marketing Management, or Business
Administration strongly preferred.
Ten (10) years of experience in marketing, preferably in a consumer marketing or agency- showing a
progression of responsibilities.
Ten (10) years of experience in pharmaceuticals.
Experience in media planning and buying with strong analytical skills in multiple markets.
Strategic business knowledge and acumen with an awareness of media trends.
Experience in creating Connections and Content for businesses and exhibiting thought leadership in the
field of building and enhancing established global brands.

Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional partners and upper management to impact decisionmaking
Willingness to “have an opinion” backed up by insight and the confidence to influence key stakeholders.
Outstanding and clear communication skills.
Ability to think analytically to understand complex or ambiguous problems or issues and articulate
solutions/conclusions clearly and concisely.
Strategic business partnership: cross-functional leadership , understanding of organizational dynamics ,
influencing skills, and innovation .
Direct experience with setting and delivering specific, measurable objectives.
Marketing, business/strategic planning and/or new product development experience required.
Function leadership required: Coaching/mentoring skills to train and develop staff required.
Experience in building teams.
Development and application of best practices and global standards.
Effective conflict managemen.
Innovative thinking.
Approximately 25% travel required globally and domestically is required.
