• PoE (Power over Ethernet)
PoE refers to the ability to carry electrical power over a standard Ethernet cable-the same one used
today for transferring data. PoE allows IP telephones, WLAN APs(Access Point) and Web cams to
receive power as well as data over existing LAN cabling, without any requirement to modify the
existing Ethernet infrastructure. After ratification of the IEEE802.3af -2003 standard on June 2003
for 12.95W delivery to PD, growth in PoE devices and installation has been increased, also
IEEE802.3at-2009 known as PoE+ or PoE Plus for higher power delivering 25W to PD was also
ratified 2009.
• xDSL POTS(Plain Old Telephone Set) Splitter
The xDSL POTS splitter enables simultaneous use of telephone and high speed internet linkage
using xDSL modem by mixing and separating digital signal and analog signal.
• Ethernet Surge Protector
appliance designed to protect Ethernet devices from voltage spikes. A surge protector attempts to
regulate the voltage supplied to an electric device by either blocking or by shorting to ground
voltages above a safe threshold.

Power Over Ethernet technology allows IP telephones, wireless LAN Access Points and other
embedded computer appliances to receive power as well as data over existing CAT5 LAN cabling.
Established as an IEEE standard, Power over Ethernet offers new options to system designers by
providing economical and flexible deployment of networked devices.

A filtering device to separate high frequency signals(Data) and low frequency signals(Voice) coexisting
over same pair of subscriber line located at both ends of the line, CO(Central Office) and CP(Customer
Premises). The filtering should be preformed while maintaining the quality of the end-to-end.

Magnetic Components – PoE PD Transformers
PoE PD 13W and 30W application, Flyback as well as Forward converter topology.
Provides output voltages as required such as 3.3, 5, 12 Volt DC. 1,500 Vrms
minimum Isolation Primary and Bias windings to the Secondary. They are usually
designed to work at 250 kHz with an input of 36 – 72 Volts typically. These
products have been tested by using in house PoE products and installed in the
public network for several years.
