Buddhism: The Wheel of the Law stressing the Eightfold Path
The Wheel of the Law symbolizes the Dharma, the ideal truth as
set forth in the teachings of Buddha, which can be achieved by
following the Eightfold Path.
1 Right understanding: belief in the Buddhist view of the nature of
existence
2 Right awareness: awareness of the body and of feelings and
thoughts
3 Right speech: avoidance of lies, slander, or abuse
4 Right action: not taking life, stealing, or indulging in improper
sexual behavior
5 Right livelihood: having an occupation in keeping with Buddhist
principles
6 Right effort: trying to develop a good mental state and avoiding a
bad state
7 Right thought: the intention to practice the faith
8 Right concentration: meditation
