Capitulo 7- Proyecto Honors Assignment (100 puntos) Nombre____________________ This is a cultural project that will allow you to examine recreational activities in Spanishspeaking countries. The project will assess what you have learned in Chapter 7 and will be instead of a test. Choose between two project options: 1. Exotic beaches in the Caribbean, Central America, South America, or Spain Narrow your topic down to beaches in one country, city, or town 2. Actual skiing and snowboarding resorts in the Andes or Spain Narrow your topic to skiing or boarding in one particular ski resort You will produce a two-page paper on either topic above. The first paragraph of the paper will be written in Spanish and the remaining page and half will be in English. In the Spanish section of your paper, you will pretend that you actually traveled to the place and describe where you went and what you did. Here, you will use: at least eight different past tense -AR verbs the irregulars "ir and ser" in the past tense at least three times at least five different past tense signal words at least one -gar, one -zar, one -car verb at least three examples of direct object pronouns at least ten words from Chapter 7 vocabulary The English section of your paper will include some basic facts about the country where your vacation destination is located. Here, you will tell the most interesting facts about your location and why everybody should come to visit it. Also, mention how much it would cost to fly to these places and what one could expect to pay on lodging, food, and entertainment. Then, you will present your findings to the class by giving a brief summary of your Spanish paragraph in Spanish. Next, you will summarize your paper in English while providing some kind of visual to the class through a power point slideshow or a poster board. Your presentation should run about five minutes.
