Introduction
Objective

Students will learn to recognize
congruent figures and their
corresponding parts.
Congruent Polygons

Congruent means to have equal or
congruent corresponding parts.
 With polygons, that means corresponding
angles are congruent and corresponding
sides are congruent.
Turn to Page 219

Look at problem 1 and problem 2

Try the “Got It” problems for both
examples.
Theorem 4-1

If two angles of one triangle are
congruent to two angles of another
triangle, then the third angles are also
congruent.

