Greek Mythology Day
Step 1- Choose a character from Greek Mythology and have it approved by the teacher*. There should
be no duplicates of characters in the same class period.
Zeus, Poseidon, Hera, Hades, Hestia, Hermes, Athena, Apollo, Aphrodite, Artemis, Aries,
Hephaestus, Atlas, Pan, Dionysus, Medusa, Chimaera, Pegasus, Prometheus, Achilles, Heracles,
Pandora, Psyche, Daedalus

Step 2- Research a myth where your character is an important part of the myth. Memorize this myth
and prepare a retell that will be given in class on the presentation day. Remember eye contact,
connecting with the audience, word choice, nonverbal cues, etc. when doing your presentation.
Step 3- Create a costume of the character you chose. It should be neat in appearance, well thought out,
and obvious that you are this character.
Step 4- Create a symbol for your character to bring with you that is significant to your character during
the retell of the myth. (ex. Zeus would carry a lightning bolt.) This should be made, not bought.
