Work with stakeholders across the business to foster a more data-driven approach to decision making.
Special focus includes management of systems and interfaces, and using analytics to improve the value of
marketing and fundraising campaigns.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES








Work directly with Marketing and Fundraising to understand goals and opportunities, in order
to address these through better systems and analysis
Manage the ongoing development and maintenance of the Raiser’s Edge CRM database to
meet NBCF’s need to ensure optimum functionality for operational efficiency and all
information requirements can be met effectively
Implement best practice standards in terms of data imports, input and management including
effective, efficient and accurate interfaces of the database with external systems. Deliver
effective and efficient import/export of 3rd party data regularly to and from the CRM database
and manage delivery of solutions when issues arise e.g. from Go Fundraise, Front Stream, and
Mail Chimp.
Lead the integration of Raiser’s Edge with multiple third party sources and advise on best
practise/most streamline data workflow processes
Ensure NBCF has in place an agile and centralised CRM reporting dashboard that can be
accessed and shared with business stakeholders
Provide regular CRM reports to the business that identifies trends, insights, learnings and
issues
Management of the data selection process to ensure data extracted from the database is
accurate and has been selected and manipulated to achieve campaign objectives.
Analyse and understand the data behind key campaigns and processes and present key data
insights to campaign managers that aid the ongoing assessment and strategic development of
fundraising programs.

Create actionable market intelligence and analysis, statistical and segmentation models to aid
selection, targeting and understanding of the performance of fundraising activities
Review, analyse and report on any issues of data irregularity or incomplete data capture to
maintain a high level of integrity in the Raiser’s Edge database and monitor integrity on an
ongoing basis
Develop appropriate documentation around data management to guide the organisation. The
role will work with the Supporter Services Manager to ensure all database related
documentation including procedures, process maps, specifications for all customisations and
interfaces is in place, accurate and up to date.
Manage the administration and development of the database
Effective training for staff on the ongoing use of the database
Responsibility for ensuring data security and data permissions procedures are communicated
across the organisation










Tertiary qualification in relevant subject area
Experience on data mining/analysis programs
Excellent knowledge of Word, Excel and Access

The successful applicants will possess:
 At least 3 years’ experience in a data analytics, reporting and database management, ideally
within a relevant not-for-profit organisation
 Demonstrated experience managing the development and maintenance of a relational database in
a fundraising or sales/marketing environment, including extracting relevant data from large and
complex data sets. Raiser’s Edge experience would be an advantage.
 Proven successful project management experience - new systems & processes and process
development.
 Excellent computer literacy with database systems, and MS Office applications.
 Experience in the successful creation and implementation of data policies and procedures

Proven success engaging and managing relationships with a wide and diverse set of stakeholders
Ability to assess and analyse information needs and design effective solutions
