‫מטרת הקורס‬
‫הגישה של סוציולוגיה ציבורית מטרתה להגדיר‪ ,‬לקדם ולהעשיר את הדיון הציבורי לגבי‬
‫נושאים שאיתם מתמודדת החברה‪ .‬זה יכול להיעשות בדרך של מחקר הרלוונטי למדיניות‬
‫ציבורית או דרך חיזוק המעורבות של סוציולוגים בקהילה‪ .‬הסמינר יפתח צוהר לחשיבה‬
‫סוציולוגית ביקורתית לגבי התו צאות החברתיות המכוונות והבלתי מכוונות של מדיניות‬
‫ציבורית וגם יהדק את המעורבות החברתית של התלמידים תוך כדי בחינה של הסביבה דרך‬
‫משקפיים סוציולוגיות‪.‬‬
‫בסמינר השנה נפנה זרקור ואת הדמיון הסוציולוגי שלנו למהפכה החברתית של שנת‬
‫‪ .1122‬נשתמש בפרדיגמה הסוציולוגית להבנה של התופעה‪ ,‬סיבותיה‪ ,‬הצלחתה‪ ,‬כשלונה‪,‬‬
‫מיקומה ההיסטורי‪ ,‬היחסים בין השחקנים‪ ,‬תפקיד התקשורת ועוד‪ .‬כל עבודה סמינריונית‬
‫תעסוק באספקט אחר של המהפיכה וביחד אסופת ה"מאמרים" תספק מסמך המספק‬
‫תובנות עומק ביחס לתופעה בפרספקטיבת הזמן‪ .‬כל התלמידים יציגו את מחקרם בכיתה‬
‫בסוף הסמסטר‪.‬‬
‫‪The approach of Public Sociology aims to define, promote and inform public debate about‬‬
‫‪various aspects of inequality and social problems. The seminar orients students toward critical‬‬
‫‪sociological thinking regarding the intended and unintended social consequences of public‬‬
‫‪policies and important social phenomena. This year the seminar will focus on Israel social‬‬
‫‪protest of 2011.‬‬
