• Deity-divine character or nature, esp. that of the Supreme
Being; divinity

Parents of the Gods

generation, the aunts, uncles, and parents of the
Olympian gods and goddesses. These Titans are the

Zeus
Zeus
• Latin Spelling : Zeus
• Roman Names: Jupiter, Jove
• He was born in the Diktaion cave, where he was
nursed by Amaltheia, but conceived by Cronus
and Rhea
• His sphere of influence was Mount olympus and
the Human world
• His attributes were the lightning bolt, royal
scepter, and the eagle
• His favorite place to stay was mount olympus
Zeus (cont.)
• Ancient-I chose this picture because it depicts him with
his attributes and what the Greco people thought of
him in that time. I liked the way it showed his heroic
stature. With the built body and a thick beard, it seems
like he has been through a lot. With his expression he
looks like a king. That is why I chose this picture.
• Modern- I chose this picture because it showed the
more super heroish side of Zeus. Even though he is
shown with white hair, he is more built then the other
Zeus. He also looks more battle hardened. He is also
depicted with more godly weaponry. That is why I
chose this picture.

also shows his scepter with the hawk. The
background also has an evil look to it. This is why

• Modern- Many modern pictures make the gods
look like superheroes, but this is just epic. It
shows the evil and anger in a villain. Instead of a
scepter he is shown with a sword. The best
reason I chose this is because of the fire. This is
why I chose this picture.
