Block 1 Biology SL/HL – Environmental Systems and Societies SL Block 2 Mathematical Studies SL – Mathematics SL – Mathematics HL Block 3 Biology SL/HL – Business and Management SL/HL – Visual Arts SL/HL Block 4 Chemistry SL/HL – History SL/HL Block 5 Economics SL/HL – Psychology SL/HL - Physics SL/HL Block 6 English A Literature SL/HL - English A Language and Literature SL/HL – English B SL/HL Block 7 Swedish A Literature SL/HL – Swedish A Language and Literature SL/HL – Swedish B SL/HL Block 8 French B SL/HL – Spanish B SL/HL - Spanish ab initio SL – Mandarin ab initio SL – French ab initio SL Block 9 Language A Literature school supported self-taught SL Block 10 Mother tongue – a requirement for students choosing Language A Literature school supported self-taught SL Choose three subjects at SL and three subjects at HL You have to choose two languages – one language A and one language B or two languages A You have to choose one math course You have to choose one social science subject and two natural science subjects or two social science subjects and one natural science subject. Environmental Systems and Societies is considered to be either a social science subject or a natural science subject. It is also possible to choose three natural science subjects (a so called Non Regular Diploma), if you are absolutely sure that you need this subject combination for your future studies. Generally we do not recommend this due to extra workload. Permission is given by the DP principal or the DP coordinator. At Mischellaneous you write: 1) your mother tongue, if you have chosen Language A Literature school supported self-taught SL 2) if you have chosen a Non Regular Diploma 3) if you want a 4th HL subject (not recommended) 4) if you want a 7th subject (not recommended) 5) if you want Nybörjarsvenska (Swedish Foundation) 6) something else on subject choices that is of importance to you If you need information on which subjects that qualify you to educations after the Diploma Programme please contact the career advisor Maria Palm: [email protected] 046 35 76 53
