General
DO NOT OPERATE THE SCOOTER BEFORE READING AND UNDERSTANDING THIS INSTRUCTION MANUAL
IF YOU ARE IN DOUBT ABOUT THE MEANING OF THESE INSTRUCTIONS, OR ANY
OF THE CAUTIONS AND WARNINGS, PLEASE CONSULT YOUR HEALTHCARE
PROFESSIONAL, DEALER OR RELEVANT TECHNICAL PERSONNEL.
FAILURE TO FULLY UNDERSTAND THE SCOOTER OPERATION MAY RESULT
IN AN UNEXPECTED RESPONSE FROM THE EQUIPMENT WHICH CAN IN TURNLEAD TO POSSIBLE INJURY OR
DAMAGE.
Notes
Warning and Caution notices used in this manual, apply to hazards and unsafe practices
that could result in personal injury or damage to property.
Warning
We supply an extensive range of mobility scooters to meet the varying needs of
individual users. It is the responsibility of the individual user and their healthcare advisor
qualified in making such choices, to decide which scooter is suitable for the user's intended purpose.
With regards to restraints, seat positioning straps, posture correction or other positional
aids and accessories, it is the obligation of the qualified healthcare professional in
conjunction with the dealer to ensure the suitability of such equipment for the safe operation of the
scooter
Serious injury can occur in the event of a fall from a mobility scooter.
We DO NOT RECOMMEND that a scooter user is transported in any type of vehicle when seated in the
scooter.
At this time, there are no approved Tie-down Systems for the transportation of a user in ANY moving
vehicle whilst seated in a scooter
It is our opinion that users of mobility scooters should be transferred into the appropriate
vehicle seating system and use should be made of the restraints available to the auto industry.
4
1. Do not exceed weight capacity of 25 stone.
2. Do not attempt to lift or move a power scooter by any of its removable parts. Personal injury and
damage to the power chair may result.
3. Never try to use your scooter beyond its limitations as described in the manual.
4. Do not operate your scooter if it is not functioning properly.
5. Do not connect any electrical or mechanical device to the scooter. Failure to obey this instruction
may result in injury and will void the warranty.
Use While Under the Influence of Medication or Alcohol
1. Check with your physician if you are taking any medication that may affect your ability to operate
your powered scooter safely.
2. Do not operate your scooter while you are under the influence of alcohol as this may impair your
ability to operate your power scooter in a safe manner.
Weather Condition
Rain, Sleet and Snow
If exposed to water, your power scooter is susceptible to damage to electronic or mechanical components.
Water can cause electronic malfunction or promote premature corrosion of electrical components and
frame.
Ramps and Kerbs
Gradients and Kerbs
We recommend that wherever possible that a suitable access point such as a drop kerb or ramp be used.
The necessity to climb a kerb directly should be as a last resort.
If negotiating a gradient or kerb (up to 10cm), always address the situation at an angle of 90° to ensure
stability of the scooter. Do not hit a kerb at speed, drive slowly until you reach the kerb then apply more
power to travel over the obstacle. Do not turn sharply on any slope moving forwards or backwards.

Batteries and Battery Charging
To charge battery, please push the charger plug in firmly, the charger plug should stay in and charge. If not
pushed in firmly, the plug will slip out. It has a security lock.
Battery Charger Charge the batteries completely (8-12 hours) prior to first use. Batteries supplied with
your scooter are specially designed for use on power chairs and scooters and require an automatic battery
charger. These chargers have an electronic switch that terminates the charge when the batteries are full.
The battery charger is a 3-amp switch mode type off board. The charger can read the level of charge in the
batteries and will switch off when the batteries are fully charged. To charge the batteries connect the plug
lead into the charging socket and the 3-pin plug into the wall socket and switch on. The battery charger has
two lights. A constant red light will show when the battery charger is connected (this will flash if there is a
break in the connection), Green light when the charging cycle is complete.
Caution: Always charge the batteries in a well-ventilated indoor area. You must still maintain charging the
batteries even if the scooter is not to be used for a prolonged period (2 to 3 weeks). Failure to do so could
result in permanent damage and render the batteries unusable. Wherever possible, do not interrupt the
charge cycle until the batteries are fully charged. Continual interruption can permanently damage the
batteries. If the charging lead should become damaged, discontinue use immediately and seek a
replacement from your dealer.
Disposing and recycling of used batteries
Batteries must always be recycled correctly. Do not dispose of them with your domestic refuge.
For further information regarding your nearest recycling facility please contact your local authority.
