The texts consider the role of music in our lives. The first text mentions the positive effects of music.
However, the second text discusses whether music should take place in schools.
The first text outlines the benefits of music. Most parts of our brain perceive music as a consequence
appears inner emotional reaction. Music could evoke our most deep-rooted emotions and sensations.
Even Shakespeare mentions the music as “food of love”. It is hard for most humans to imagine their
lives without music.
The second text shows both sides of the coin: doubts about educating the role of music at schools and
the importance of choosing the appropriate type of music. On the one hand, there is some doubt
whether the music could develop other capabilities and skills. On the other hand, it is considered that
music could be advantageous educationally like other educational skills and subjects. Despite this
discussion, appears more serious issue that argues about the appropriate type of music that should be
taught in schools. The predominant opinion is that classical music should be the correct option. But
this assertion could be doubtful as most types of music could improve an individual’s abilities.
I consider that it is incorrect to compare which text is correct as there are so different sights on both
texts. Personally, the first text is closer to my conception of music benefits. I believe that it is true
that music reveals our inner world full of diverse emotions.
