The Scheme of work; course one

“ Man, Environment and Culture”
The aim: To study and understand the relationship
between a man and his environment from the early
stages of a human being up to the late 19th
century.
The term of culture should be understood in a
broader sense, as an example of all the creations
by human beings to survive ( footprints of a man)
History can be divided into different

The main focus will be on the European social,
economic and environmental history
From first people in Europe up to the
industrialization
Ancient Greece and Rome
 The Middle Ages; from Agricultural Europe to the rise
of towns and societies
 The Renaissance; Cultural and Religious challenges
 Absolute Rulers, Europe and the wider world

