Description:
A
postdoctoral
position
is
available
in
The
Department
of
Genetics
at
The
Scripps
Research
Institute
to
study
the
molecular
mechanisms
of
phagocytosis
of
apoptotic
cells
and
bacteria
using
Drosophila
as
a
model
organism.

Requirements:
Ph.D.
in
any
field
of
biology.
The
candidate
should
have
strong
conceptual
and
experimental
background
in
Genetics,
and/or
Molecular
and
Cell
Biology;
experience
with
Drosophila
Genetics
would
be
preferred
although
not
absolutely
essential.
The
candidate
should
be
independent,
proactive,
hard
working
and
should
enjoy
working
in
a
team;
candidates
will
have
at
least
one
first‐author
publication
in
a
good
journal,
and
should
have
the
potential
and
commitment
to
become
self‐funded.
