The Financing Agreement for the Project was approved by the President of the Republic of Angola on December 10, 2013. The Financing Agreement was signed between the World Bank and the Government of Angola on January 16, 2014. Project effectiveness is expected for very shortly. Activities have started and launching of key procurement for the project is expected to take place during the months of July-August 2014. Good progress has been made with regards to meeting the project conditions of effectiveness. A World Bank mission intends to visit Angola during the month of July 2014, to provide technical support to the Project Management Team and to carry out supervision activities for the project.
