Pay just 85% and it’s all yours.
How does it work?
A mortgage is arranged on 85% of the purchase price of you new
home. The remaining 15% balance becomes a second loan from
Persimmon Homes, secured on the property.
When do I repay the remaining 15%?
You simply pay us 15% of the market value of the property when
you sell or transfer – or within 10 years, whichever is sooner.
Do I have to sell before I pay you?
WE’LL HELP YOU BUY THE
HOME YOU WANT, TODAY
• Own 100% of the property
• Pay just 85% of the price
• Simply repay 15% when you
sell or within 10 years*
You can repay us in part, or full, whenever you like, subject to a
valuation at that time.
Is there anything else to pay?
There’s a £500 commitment fee, refundable on completion. And
you will pay solicitors’ and valuation fees on full or part
repayment of the 15%.
How is the valuation figure arrived at?
When you make full or part repayment, the market value of the
property will be determined by the average of three independent
valuations.
What if the property price goes down?
Your repayment will be 15% of the market value – whether that is
more or less than the purchase price.
How are any home improvements accounted for?
The 15% repayment is calculated from the market value – less
any improvements.
So you keep all of the value of any
improvements you make.
Can I Buy to Let?
You can only use our Helping Hand Plus scheme if you are
buying a Persimmon home as your personal residence.
What if I can’t repay the 15% within 10 years?
In cases of severe financial difficulty, we will look at the
situation and the loan period may be extended for up to a
further 5 years.
For example: The purchase price is £109,950. You pay 85%
which equals £93,457.50. The house is later sold for £129,950.
You pay Persimmon 15%, which equals £19,492.50.
