Hazard Mitigation Plan
CLIENT SPECIFICATIONS AND NEEDS:
In response to the Disaster Mitigation Act of 2000, Lebanon County, Pennsylvania was required to complete a
scheduled update to their Hazard Mitigation Plan (HMP).
MCM SOLUTIONS:
MCM Consulting Group, Inc. (MCM) worked with the Lebanon County Emergency Management Agency
to update their HMP on the authority of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the
Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency (PEMA). To update the plan, MCM completed extensive
research and managed multiple municipal meetings. The updated plan was written to be both federal and
state compliant and includes detailed strategies to help protect life, safety, and property for 26 different
municipalities in the event of 20 catastrophic hazards, both natural and man-made.
RESULTS:
The HMP update was approved by FEMA and PEMA and successfully adopted and implemented by
Lebanon County.
