Dr. Elias Zgheib is currently Chief Resident at the Division of Plastic and
Reconstructive Surgery at AUBMC. After graduating from AUB with a medical degree
in 2009, he traveled to Europe and the US to pursue higher education and training in the
fields of burns, microsurgery, cleft & craniofacial surgery. He is involved in several
teaching activities in Advanced Trauma and Life Support (ATLS), is course director of
the Tufts online learning course for Cleft lip and palate, and a member of the Alpha
Omega Alpha (AOA) medical honor society. He became involved with the Global Smile
Foundation in 2012 and is currently a key member of Global Smile Foundation-MENA.
He is the author of several publications in both reconstructive and cosmetic plastic
surgery.
