SECTION 3 - HEALTH IDENTIFICATION
Routes of Exposure:
Inhalation: Exposure to excessive airborne dust may cause irritation to respiratory system resulting in coughing, dyspnea,
wheezing and chronic bronchitis.
Skin and Eye Contact: May cause acute and/or chronic irritation of eyes, nose, and skin. Exposure to skin may produce
Cement Dermatitis which is usually due to primary irritation from the alkaline and abrasive properties of cement dust and can
involve covered areas of the body. May cause an allergic sensitivity in some cases. Prolonged contact may cause irritation or
burns to wet skin. Direct eye contact with spray may cause physical injury.
Ingestion: May cause irritation or burns to liing of mouth, stomach and esophagus.
Carcinogenicity According to NTP, IARC, and OSHA: Not Applicable

SECTION 4 – EMERGENCY AND FIRST AID MEASURES
Inhalation: Get fresh air. If symptoms persist consult a physician.
Eye Contact: Flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. See a physician.
Skin Contact: Wash with soap and water and dry skin.
Ingestion: Give large quantities of water, induce vomiting and get medical attention. Never give anything by mouth to an
unconscious person.

Respiratory Protection: Wear an approved dust mask (NIOSH TC-21C-XXX) to prevent exposure above the limits
specified above in Section II.
Eye Protection: Goggles are recommended where exposure to excessive dust of FOAMSAFE spray is likely.
Skin Protection: Wear work gloves to prevent skin contact.
Ventilation: Exhaust fans may be necessary when mixing in enclosed areas.

Preventive Measures: Work clothing to prevent skin contact.
Work Hygienic Practices: Use bag opening and disposal procedures which minimize the release of dust. Equip mixers
with dust covers.
SECTION 10 –SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS

 Contains Portland Cement CAS #65997-15-1, Vermiculite CAS #1318-00-9, Fibrous Glass CAS #14808-60-7, and
Lime CAS #1305-62-0
 Inhalation of Portland Cement Dust may cause severe respiratory reactions including coughing and breathing
difficulties. Repeated inhalation of Portland Cement Dust may cause long-term and/or delayed lung injury.
 Cement is irritation to eyes and skin, when wet or dry. Direct contact with spray can damage eyes.
 May cause irritation or burns to lining of mouth, stomach, and esophagus if swallowed.
 Floors in spray area may be slippery when wet.
Precautionary Measures:
 Avoid creating dust
 Equip mixers with dust covers
 Provide adequate ventilation and respiratory protection
 Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Wear eye protection to avoid contact with dust or spray.
 We recommend “Slippery When Wet” signs to be displayed where appropriate.
Steps to be taken in case material is released or spilled:
Observe precautions noted above. Remove material for disposal.
Waste Disposal Method:
FOAMSAFE waste is not defined as hazardous according to EPA (40FR 261.3). Dispose of all waste in accordance with
applicable federal, state, and local regulations.

SECTION 12 – SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
This Product is listed on the EPA/TSCA inventory of chemical substances.
One of the components of this product is vermiculite, a naturally-occurring mineral that contains tremolite in the ore body.
Except for trace amounts, the tremolite is removed from the vermiculite during processing. It is this purified vermiculite
which is used in the manufacture of FOAMSAFE.
