R&D Project Manager
A week in the life of:
This position is within the corporate IMT (Innovation and Manufacturing Technology)
area, positioned in Tczew site.
The scope of the position is in card products and manufacturing processes. The specificity
of these products is their long life time requirements and range of security features
implemented in several steps along the manufacturing flow.
The role for the position is partly in leading new development projects, and partly in
serving as a local resource for other IMT projects providing easy access to the manufacturing
equipment and enable faster implementation of new developments in Tczew production.
In addition, IMT department is currently in the process of:
testing and implementing a number of new plastics (transparent PET, Tritan, PC) and
technologies (security features from Trüb, CLM),
process optimizations when transferring product from Finland to Poland.
The key interfaces for the position are the rest of the IMT team split between Vantaa
(Finland) and Aarau (Switzerland) and Tczew.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
Mix of engineering and project management skills
The ideal previous position or background would be in engineering, NPI, of an IMT engineer
Backgrounds in material science, thermoplastics, manufacturing of plastic components, and
mechanical engineering would be an advantage
Expertise in lean manufacturing, design or experiments, project management in international
environment big plusses
The candidate ideally has background in engineering/NPI/product development
Proven ability to work collaboratively and influence others
Experience managing development / engineering teams
Ability to understand complex technical subjects and technologies
Fluency in written and spoken English.
