Lisa D. Yee, MD, is an associate professor in the Division of
Surgical Oncology at The Ohio State University and Co-Director of
the High Risk Breast Program of The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer
Center/James Cancer Hospital. She received a BA in biochemistry and cell biology from the
University of California San Diego and MD from Yale University, followed by residency
training in general surgery and surgical oncology fellowship at the Oregon Health Sciences
University and Mount Sinai Medical Center of Greater Miami.
As a breast surgical oncologist, Dr. Yee’s clinical work is devoted to the care of women with
breast cancer and those at high risk of developing breast cancer. Her clinical and laboratory
research program focuses on dietary interventions such as omega 3 fatty acids, aiming to
understand the underlying causes of breast cancer and to identify measures that will modulate
risk and prevent breast cancer.
