CHRIS “KLONDIKE” MASUAK is a genuine guitar legend and member of the Australian Music Hall of Fame whose recordings with Australian seminal punk rock band RADIO BIRDMAN have become part of rock history. CHRIS MASUAK & THE VIVEIRO WAVE RIDERS are currently promoting their new recording “BRUJITA” (on I-94 BAR and SNAPP!! records). RADIO BIRDMAN, THE HITMEN, THE NEW CHRISTS, THE SCREAMING TRIBESMEN…CHRIS “KLONDIKE” MASUAK carries one of Rock n’ Roll’s proudest pedigrees, his musical history a “Who’s Who” of the Australian underground. The Canadian born Masuak first achieved notoriety as the teenage guitarist for legendary RADIO BIRDMAN, the original torch-bearers of punk rock in Australia. Not without a sense of irony, RADIO BIRDMAN was inducted into the AUSTRALIAN MUSIC HALL OF FAME and is the subject of a full length documentary movie, “DESCENT INTO THE MAELSTROM”. Masuak then went on to form what was then Australia’s hardest working rock and roll band, THE HITMEN, riding the new wave of rock n roll out of the inner city and into the rest of the country. His next tour of duty was with the formidable and notorious NEW CHRISTS, with whom he produced that band’s most striking and memorable recordings. Masuak then went on to help`produce what is regarded as some of the most enduring and powerfully melodic music of the Australian underground with THE SCREAMING TRIBESMEN. Masuak now lives in Galicia and continues to tour the world extensively as “gun for hire”, and to record and tour as a solo artist. His first Spanish release (ANOTHER LOST WEEKEND on New H Records) was a runaway hit!
