Insertion of Latin America in the international system. Colonialism, neocolonialism. Dependency e
development. Industrialization. Role of the Stete. Prebisch and the influence of Cepalina theory
about inequality and social causes. Dictatorships and Democracies. National-development theory
and the Washington Consensus. Economic openness of the 90’s and the reforms in Latin America.
The logic of direct external investiments in the region.
