What is the Pre-Admission Assessment Clinic?
What happens at the assessment?
The purpose of the pre-admission assessment clinic is to make
sure you are ready for your surgery.
The assessment will help to prepare you so that you know what
to expect before, during and after your surgery.
Because your surgery is a planned procedure, it is necessary to
have all the pre-operative preparation done in advance. The
assessment should take place a few weeks before your surgery.
It will be carried out in the Pre-Admission Assessment Clinic .
Allow approximately 1–2 hours for your appointment.
Where do I go?
Use the main hospital entrance.
At the end of the main
concourse take the lift to the Ground (G) floor. Exit the lift and
follow the sign for the Pre-Admission Assessment Clinic . Check
in with the receptionist to let us know you have arrived. Please
arrive on time for your appointment.

ensure that you are ready for surgery.
