ACADEMIC PROJECTS
 Supervised Research: (SUNY, Buffalo Jan2012- May2012)
Developing a distributed storage system using No SQL data store such as Oracle Berkeley DB with a web interface
for updation, insertion and deletion of the metadata stored.
 Environment: Java,JSP.
 Applied Cryptography and Computer Security: (SUNY, Buffalo Jan2012- May2012)
 Developing browser extension to protect against phishing attacks.
 Designing a plug in to check if the site is spoof or authentic one.
 Worked on an algorithm to prevent hackers from misusing data.
 Environment: Javascript, JSON.
 Data Intensive Computing: (SUNY, Buffalo Aug2011-Dec2011)
 Developed a client server system for retrieval from web service, storage and implementing data intensive
solutions on a cloud environment.
 Used the FAO web services for collecting country data and stored the data in MySQL database.
 Designed client in JSP to facilitate querying of data such as finding the minimum distance capital city and all
possible neighboring cities for a place. Deployed the application on Google App Engine.
 Implemented word co-occurrence matrix algorithm using both pairs and stripes approach solution in MapReduce
and Hadoop DFS.
 Environment: PHP, Java,JSP,Javascript, Servlets, Eclipse, XAMPP for MYSql,Web Server:Apache
Tomcat.
 Large-Scale Distributed System : (SUNY, Buffalo Jan2011- May2011)
 Designed a distributed system which would provide weather forecast for cities. Parsed data from yahoo weather
web service and stored data in Mysql database.
 Developed Java RMI to input the queries from the user and direct it to the server which would query the
database to fetch the weather details.
 The same application was developed using web service .Also integrated Googlemaps to display the route and the
weather details of two cities.
 Implemented Dijkstra’s shortest path algorithm using Mapreduce programming model.
 Environment: JAVA, JSP, Javascript, XAMPP for MYSQL, Web Server: Apache Tomcat.
 Database Systems: (SUNY, Buffalo Jan2011-May2011)
 Implemented framework for storing data such as table structure, contents of the table with index stored in main
memory and persistent versions stored in disk.
 Implemented query parser which will input the query entered and invoke the functions such as create, insert,
delete .
 Environment: JAVA.
 Message parser: Developed code to parse links in email messages using boost regex in C++.
 Search Engine (SUNY, Buffalo Aug 2010-Dec2010)
 Developed a search engine in C++ which was able to search unformatted text.
 The tokenizer tokenized the documents into distinct tokens and stored them on disk.
 The indexer mapped the token id and document id in the indexed document. The indexed documents were stored
on disks.
 The query optimizer parsed the input query, searched the indexed documents and retrieved the documents
containing all the terms present in the query.
 Environment: C++
 Computer Vision and Image Processing: (SUNY, Buffalo Aug 2010-Dec2010)
 Implemented various algorithms involving filters, worked with RGB images, grayscale transformations to find
hidden text.
 Implemented chamfer algorithm to find the geodesic distance between 2 pixels in an image.
 Environment: MATLAB.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Wipro Technologies (SAP-ABAP consultant) December 2007 to June 2010
Design and Development
 Extensively worked in SAP data transfer technologies including LSMW, BDC and Business Application Programming
Interface (BAPI), enhancements.
 Proficient in Data Dictionary Objects (Tables, Include Structures, Views, Data Elements and Domains),ABAP/4 tools
(Menu Painter, Screen Painter and Function Modules).
 Developed reports for various customer requirements in modules such as CS, MM, SD.
 Been the representative from Pune for regression testing in UPM project.
 Successfully planned and co-ordinated the dependencies between objects in a team.
KEY PROJECTS
 Customer Detail Notification:(April 2010-May2010)

Developed code to get the details of the customer when they are changed by invoking a BADI which will
capture all the details entered.

Based on the information entered such as whether it is a customer or a Business Partner the corresponding
details are fetched from the tables.

The details entered also need to be validated according to the functional specifications. After this processing,
the data is placed in the IDOC structure.

NMI Discovering response: ( Mar 2010-Mar2010)

When the NMI Discovery Request is received the details are validated and then checked if they are present in
the tables. If they are not present then they are updated in the respective tables using function modules.

Service Order Updation:( May 2009-June2009)
 Developed code which will receive the service order of the equipment , check the availability and perform
the updation.
 When service order is created , based on the equipment for which service order is created the components
required to repair the equipment have to be checked for ,the quantity of the components that are present in
the tables must be greater or equal to the quantity that is required to repair that equipment.
 If this condition is not satisfied then substitutes have to be found out to replace the component. After this the
status of the service order is updated using a function module.
 Accural Report:(October 2008-November 2008)

For every purchase order document the header data is stored in the EKKO table and the item details are
stored in the EKPO table.

For displaying them in an appropriate way tree reporting in ALV was used which will display all the item
details for each purchase order number.
ACHIEVEMENTS:
 Awarded ‘THANKS A ZILLION AWARD’ for excellent performance in UPM project in Wipro.
 Finalist of C/C++ Programming competition at an Intra-College event RESONANCE organized by IEEE(2006)
 Member of the placement committee at college.
