*Intended for all contractual partners of PARAMO, a.s., including private transporter, customers’ (suppliers’) transporters,
entering the company premises in order to load or unload goods.
RISKS, PRINCIPLES OF WORKPLACE SAFETY, FIRE PROTECTION,
PROTECTION OF THE ENVIRONMENT IN PARAMO, a. s.
A) MAIN RISKS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE LABOR CODE
1. CHEMICAL SUBSTANCES
A whole range of chemical substances and mixtures is being handled in the company. Everyone, who gets into
contact with these chemicals, must be protected against the effect of these chemicals by personal protective
equipment.
2. BAN ON SMOKING IN THE PLANT
Smoking is prohibited in all areas of PARAMO, a.s.
The ban (including electronic cigarettes) applies also to the open outdoor, cabins of vehicles and mechanical
equipment. The ban further applies to the places where open fire is normally handled, such as to welding shops,
etc. It is strictly prohibited to perform any work with open fire without a duly issued work order.
3. USE OF MOBILE TELEPHONES
It is strictly prohibited in all areas of PARAMO, a.s. to use mobile phones in places and zones that present risk of
explosion, which are labeled accordingly. Exceptionally, mobile phones may be used with the approval of the
appointed official of PARAMO, a.s.
4. BAN ON THE USE OF PRIVATE HEATERS
It is strictly prohibited in all areas of PARAMO, a.s. to use private heaters in the cabins of vehicles and machines
5. BEFORE ENTERING THE PLANT OBSERVE THE FOLLOWING REGULATIONS
It is prohibited in all areas of PARAMO, a. s. to take pictures or movies without a permit issued by Head the HSE
department.
6. ALCOHOL AND OTHER NARCOTICS
Consuming alcohol or other narcotic or psychotropic substances on the company workplaces, as well as bringing
these substances into the company, or entering the company intoxicated, is prohibited. Persons present on the
company premises are required to take a breath test upon request to determine the presence of alcohol or
other narcotic or psychotropic substances!
7. STAYING ON THE PREMISES
Have the permission to enter or the ID card visibly displayed at all times.
Use the roads and sidewalks when moving on the premises. Should there be no sidewalk, walk on the left side of
the road. Cross railroad tracks, whether walking or driving, only at marked railroad crossings. When crossing the
railroad track observe always warning signals. It is prohibited to walk in or drive into workshops or areas where
you have no assignments. After having arrived at your designated place, report your arrival to the respective
supervisor immediately, and follow his directives. Request a written permit or work order for each assignment
from the competent supervisor. Do not enter subterranean premises without permit; you could expose yourself to
dangers of toxic gas or vapor poisoning.
All electronic appliances used on the premises of PARAMO, a.s., must a valid revision.
8. DRIVING IN THE PLANT
A car driver is held responsible for safe driving in the plant. Driving on the roads in the plant is governed by the
Highway Code, as well as by the following locally applicable regulations:

* The maximum allowed speed of a car or mechanical equipment is 20 kph, (30 kph in HS Kolín and DiS
Lípa);
* Railroad crossings are not supervised by the employees during shunting. A shunting train sounds only an
acoustic warning signal;
*Railroad crossings are marked by the “Warning Cross” road sign only, indicating a single-line or a multipleline crossing without the gate (other warning signs related to crossings and included in the Highway Code are
not used within the plant)
* The maximum vertical clearance under pipe bridges, product pipelines, and cable benches is 3.7 m; (4.2 m in
HS Kolín);
The driver of a car or mechanical equipment
* must give way and clear the road for the fire truck and/or the ambulance on the way to a scene of accident
(warning signals are sounded);
* must not bring children up to 15 years and animals in the vehicle or in the mechanical
equipment to PARAMO, a.s.;
*must follow the smoking ban even in the cabin of the vehicle or mechanical equipment, as well as the ban on
using private heater;
*must use personal protective equipment (including co-drivers) during the whole presence on the
premises of the company;
*must not drive into buildings or factory areas without a permit issued by the respective supervisor;
* must park on the loading and unloading places or on the designated parking sites or according to instructions
of security employees or responsible employees of PARAMO;
* must request a route description for the transportation of heavy or large loads from the Transport Department,
at number 317 (182 in Kolín)
* may not drag long loads such as pipes, round timber, etc. on the road even partially;
* must respect instructions given by the plant‘s security staff, the Transport Department and the Sales
Department, and the Administration Department (security, fire prevention and work safety);
* must report immediately any road accident or damage to a road sign to the Transport Department, after 2
p.m. to the Company Central Information Department 137/418, 451, in Kolín 182/378;
* should the sound and light warning system signal a leak of dangerous gases and vapors, the driver must stop,
park the car on the roadside, turn off the engine and/or the heater, close the cabin windows; remain in the car,
and wait for further instructions.
* if the vehicle is equipped by a protection railing at the filling hole, the driver is required to install it before
pumping.
B) PRINCIPLES OF WORKPLACE SAFETY, FIRE PROTECTION AND PROTECTION OF
THE ENVIRONMENT
1/ The partner (transporter) stated in the contract/order was informed and is aware that they are required to
comply with all valid safety regulations, both on fire protection and protection of the environment, as well
as all other regulations valid on the premises of PARAMO, a.s., which are currently available as the
Binding regulations and information of PARAMO, a.s on www.paramo.cz in section „About us/ Binding
regulations and information“.
2/ The partner (transporter) stated in the contract/order shall ensure a continuous supervision by an assigned
employee and shall ensure a regular inspection of compliance to OHS, Fire protection and protection of the
environment.
3/ The partner (transporter) stated in the contract/order is required to follow warning and information signs on
workplace and is required to follow instructions given by corresponding PARAMO, a.s., employee and
employees of the security agency ensuring protection of the plant.
4/ The partner (transporter) stated in the contract/order is required to keep records of employees, who enter
into PARAMO, a.s., in order to perform the work since the entry into work until they leave their workplace.
5/ The partner (transporter) stated in the contract/order is held responsible for the order and cleanliness on the
construction site or on the premises of performed works. The partner commits to refrain from littering the
plant premises. Any filth or contamination of the above stated premises must be cleaned immediately by the
partner.

The partner (transporter) stated in the contract/order commits to use all energies (process water, drinking
water, electric energy, vapor) economically.
7/ The partner (transporter) stated in the contract/order shall ensure that all their sub-supplier follow the
principles stipulated herein.
8/ The partner (transporter) stated in the contract/order was informed about their obligation to equip their
employees with personal protective equipment and to make sure that this PPE is used (particularly safety
helmets must be worn in the whole area). Upon entering into workshops or during tapping/pumping,
protective working clothing, safety closed footwear and eye protection, e.g. a shield or goggles with
side cover, must be worn. All employees of the partner (transporter) stated in the contract/order, who enter
into the premises of PARAMO, a.s. that present risk of explosion (labeled as EX) to perform work tasks,
inspection or revision, must be equipped with suitable personal protective equipment (complete intact
clothing: shirt and trousers (overall), protective cloak or coat in cold weather) in accordance with
ČSN EN 531 in the minimum scope of A, B1, C1 or in accordance with ČSN EN ISO 11612 in the
minimum scope of A1, B1, C1 – flammability and ČSN EN 1149-1, antistatics. The footwear must also be
antistatic.
9/ The partner (transporter) stated in the contract/order shall ensure that all employees, as well as other
persons participating on the work/transport with their permission, are properly trained and medically fit to
perform the given tasks.
10/ The partner (transporter) stated in the contract/order shall stop all work in case employees of the partner or
of PARAMO, a.s., or of a third party are in danger or in case there is danger of damage or if an
extraordinary event is observed or signaled.
11/ With regards to § 105 of the Labor Code the contractual parties hereby agree that for the purposes of work
injury investigations, the leaseholder workplace includes the whole premises of the plant.
12/ Procedure in case of a work injury of the partner (transporter) stated in the contract/order shall be governed
by the valid legislative regulation, i.e. the assigned person in PARAMO, a.s. shall be contacted
immediately, the injury shall be investigated in cooperation with HSE PARAMO, a.s., which shall receive
a copy of the injury report.
13/ Should the sound and light warning system signal a leak of dangerous gases and vapors, all employees of
the partner (transporter) stated in the contract/order are required to immediately stop, park the car on the
roadside, turn off the engine and/or the heater, close the cabin windows; remain in the car, and wait for
further instructions.
14/ Flammable liquids of all hazard classes are handled in the plant – e.g. toluene and other, flammable gases
both in liquid and vapor phase, such as the natural gas, with solid flammable substances, toxic gases, e.g.
ammonia, with caustic substances, carcinogenic and other substances.
15/ In case of fire, explosion or other accident, everyone who notices this event is required to report it to the
Fire Service on phone number 150. When reporting an accident, please state your name, what is on fire,
location of the fire and the number you are calling from.
16/ Siren/two minute continuous sound or warble signal an extraordinary event, whose consequences can
spread over the border of the plant premises. The siren is accompanied by a report in the local broadcast.
17/ Employees of external companies are required to follow these instructions, as well as the instructions of the
security and fire service employees.
18/ Signaled evacuation applies also to external company employees. Evacuation plans are displayed on
individual workstations.
19/ The partner (transporter) stated in the contract/order shall ensure the compliance to all legal requirements
on manipulating water and its protection so as not to endanger or deteriorate the quality of surface and
underground waters. The supplier must have a written approval of the assigned PARAMO, a.s.,
representative for discharging waste water into sewer.
20/ The partner (transporter) stated in the contract/order shall ensure the compliance with legal regulations for
manipulating substances that could endanger the quality or health safety of surface and underground waters
(especially for own storages of oil substances and other substances, during their transportation, etc.)
21/ The partner (transporter) stated in the contract/order shall inform PARAMO, a.s., in a written form about
the establishment (both permanent and temporarily) of operation storage of hazardous substances, its
location, security and the amount of stored substances. This notification does not replace the decision or
permission of relevant state administration authorities for the establishment of such storage, if required by
law.

PARAMO, a. s.
22/ The partner (transporter) stated in the contract/order shall ensure that the handled hazardous substances do
not leak into the environment, soil or water. In case of an accident, the partner shall take required measures
to remove the handled hazardous substance from the environment.
23/ In case any extraordinary deterioration or endangering of the quality of surface or underground waters on
the premises of the plant is caused or discovered by the partner (“accident”), the partner (transporter) stated
in the contract/order shall immediately report this situation to fire services of PARAMO, a.s, on phone
number 150 (or to the supervisor of relevant distribution storage). This report does not replace the report
from the originator to the state administration authorities, the department of the environmental protection,
as required by relevant legal regulations.
24/ In case of a leak of hazardous substances caused by employees or equipment of the partner (transporter)
stated in the contract/order, the partner (transporter) stated in the contract/order shall ensure immediate
action is taken to prevent/reduce the effect on surface and underground waters. In cooperation with
PARAMO, a.s., employees the partner shall ensure all required measures to eliminate the accident and
measures to remove its consequences. The partner shall participate in the investigation of the causes of the
accident caused by their activities on the premises of the plant.
25/ The partner (transporter) stated in the contract/order is required to dispose waste in accordance with the Act
No. 185/2001 Coll. on waste (collection, transport and disposal). The partner is required to inform
PARAMO, a.s., about their own waste collection place and provide its location on the plant premises, type
and name of waste and relevant safety measures and labels, including the identification of the concerned
company. The partner is held responsible for maintaining order on the collection places operated by
PARAMO, a.s., and for preventing waste storage on places other that these designated collection places.
26/ Unless the disposal of waste produced by the transporter is specified otherwise in the contract, all waste
shall be disposed by the transporter. Unless the disposal of waste produced by the activities of other
contractual partners is specified otherwise in the contract, all waste shall be disposed by the service
supplier. All waste is the property of the supplier, who is the originator of the waste in the sense of the law.
This provision applies differently for companies in permanent lease: unless specified otherwise, then
PARAMO, a.s., ensures the disposal of communal waste and waste originated from the leaseholder
activities on the PARAMO premises related to the normal maintenance of individual equipment.
27/ The partner (transporter) stated in the contract/order shall allow employees of PARAMO, a.s., to perform
environmental audit or inspection of the adherence to the provisions of this annex, and shall provide them
with required information and shall present documents related to activities that have effect on the
environment.
Inspection of the adherence to OHS, Fire protection and environment protection regulations is performed, in
addition to persons with the right to enter records into the construction or assembly journal, by employees of the
PARAMO, a.s., HSE department and by employees of the fire fighting service of the company, who are also
authorized to stop all works if non-adherence is discovered.
These safety instructions are mandatory for you and you must observe them!
C) CONTRACTUAL FINES FOR BREACH OF REGULATIONS
It is in the interest of both contractual parties to adhere to regulations of OHS, Fire protection and
environment protection and the parties are aware that a contractual fine will be applied for each serious breach of
obligations in the area of OHS, Fire protection and environment protection, including the following situations:
1/
Smoking (including electronic cigarettes) on the premises of PARAMO, a.s., handling open fire and
performing activities posing the risk of fire without a valid order. The offender shall immediately hand over
their permission to enter and will be denied access and banned from working in the premises of PARAMO,
a.s. The partner (transporter) stated in the contract/order shall be charged by PARAMO, a.s., a contractual
fine in the amount of 20,000 CZK for each offending employees
2/ Using mobile phone outside the designated area and breach of the terms and fire safety precautions stipulated
by a valid order/permission. The partner (transporter) stated in the contract/order will be charged by
PARAMO, a.s., a contractual fine in the amount of 10,000 CZK.

3/ Failure to follow light or acoustic warning signals. The offender shall immediately hand over their permission
to enter and will be denied access and banned from working in the premises of PARAMO, a.s. The partner
(transporter) stated in the contract/order shall be charged by PARAMO, a.s., a contractual fine in the
amount of 20,000 CZK.

Entering into all premises of PARAMO, a.s. under the influence of alcohol or other narcotic substances,
bringing these substances to the premises and using them during working hours or in relation to performing
work tasks or refusing to undergo a breath test. The offender shall immediately hand over their permission
to enter and will be denied access and banned from working in the premises of PARAMO, a.s. The partner
(transporter) stated in the contract/order shall be charged by PARAMO, a.s., a contractual fine in the
amount of 20,000 CZK for each discovered case.
5/ Failure to use personal protective equipment, namely helmets, eye protection, protective clothing, footwear
and gloves and the failure to use protective clothing and equipment with antistatic and inflammable
protection when entering premises with the risk of explosions (labeled as EX) by employees of the partner
(transporter) stated in the contract/order; partner (transporter) stated in the contract/order shall be charged
by PARAMO, a.s., a contractual fine in the amount of 20,000 CZK for each employee.
6/ Presence of employees of the partner (transporter) stated in the contract/order on premises other than the
assigned workplace or publicly accessible premises. The partner (transporter) stated in the contract/order
shall be charged by PARAMO, a.s., a contractual fine in the amount of 10,000 CZK

Unauthorized parking outside the loading and unloading place or designated parking place or parking in
conflict with the instructions of the security agency employee or of the assigned employee of PARAMO.
The partner (transporter) stated in the contract/order shall be charged by PARAMO, a.s., a contractual fine
in the amount of 10,000 CZK and 5,000 CZK for exceeding the speed limit.
8/ Failure to report a work injury of an employee of the partner (transporter) stated in the contract/order to the
PARAMO, a.s., HSE department. The partner (transporter) stated in the contract/order shall be charged by
PARAMO, a.s., a contractual fine in the amount of 10,000 CZK.
9/ Storing waste material outside containers that meet the technical requirements stipulated by the act on waste,
including waste labels. The partner (transporter) stated in the contract/order shall be charged by PARAMO,
a.s., a contractual fine in the amount of 5,000 CZK.
10/ Failure to label waste containers with the company name. The partner (transporter) stated in the
contract/order shall be charged by PARAMO, a.s., a contractual fine in the amount of 5,000 CZK
11/ Failure to report a leak of hazardous substances from machines and equipment of PARAMO, a.s. The partner
(transporter) stated in the contract/order shall be charged by PARAMO, a.s., a contractual fine in the
amount of 15,000 CZK
12/ Contractual fines are invoiced by the head of the department (operation) of PARAMO, a.s., assigned for the
communication with the partner (transporter) concerned. The partner (transporter) stated in the
contract/order shall pay the contractual fine within 15 days from receiving the invoice from PARAMO, a.s.
If the invoice is not paid within the due date, the partner commits to pay interest on late payment in the
amount of 0.03% from the amount outstanding for each day of the delay.

The partner (transporter) stated in the contract/order commits to pay fully and at own expenses all
contractual fines charged by PARAMO, a.s., inspection authorities of the state public administration for the
breach of legal regulations valid for OHS, fire protection and environment protection and damage to the
environment, as caused by the partner.
D) REPEATED BREACH OF REGULATIONS
In case of a repeated breach of the principles of workplace safety, fire protection and protection of the
environment in PARAMO, a.s., by the contractual partner (transporter), PARAMO, a.s. is authorized to
withdraw from the contract/order.
The Labor Code requires all persons concluding this contract/order to be informed in a written form about all
possible risks during work and about the mutual cooperation for ensuring OHS. At the same time, all activities
and works are to be organized and performed in order to protect employees of another employer.
