ABGA SANCTIONED GOAT SHOW
Cloud Livestock Facility, 1300 East River Road, Bainbridge, GA 39817
RULES
ABGA SANCTIONED OPEN BOER GOAT SHOW
General Rules: The show chairman and committee reserve the final and absolute right to interpret these rules,
settle and determine all matters, questions and differences arising from or connected to the Summer Sizzler
Boer Goat Show. Any exhibitor who violates the rules will forfeit all privileges and be subject to such penalties
as the committee may order. The breed standards and Show Rules of the ABGA shall govern and be upheld at
the show. The judge’s decision will be final. No protest will be allowed. No reversal of decision will be
considered. This competition is open to all goats registered with the ABGA or CGBA only. All goats three
months or older must be registered with ABGA or CGBA. Animals under three months must have a stamped
duplicate or faxed application showing the date received by ABGA or CGBA. There is no limit to the number of
animals an exhibitor may enter in the show. Animals will show by age according to the registration certificate.
Base date for age computation is the date of check-in, July 14-15, 2017. The show committee reserves the
right to combine or split classes as needed.
Entries: All entries must be postmarked by July 1, 2017. The entry fee is $25 per goat. Late entries will be
accepted with an additional $10 per goat late fee with no discounts. The pen fee is $5.00 per pen used - this
fee does not include bedding (shavings) and must accompany the entry form. All fees are non-refundable. No
entries accepted after check-in closed.
Health Requirements: Georgia and out-of-state goats must enter on a certificate of veterinary inspection
issued within 30 days of the exhibition. All goats must be identified with USDA approved individual animal
identification to the flock of origin. The following statement must be recorded on the certificate of veterinary
inspection for all goats including wethers: “To the best of my knowledge, the animals being exhibited are free
from any clinical signs consistent with those of footrot, scabies, contagious ecthyma (soremouth), cutaneous
fungal lesions, scrapie or any other infectious or contagious disease.” Goats may be inspected at the show
facility for infectious and contagious diseases and those suspected of having disease will be removed from the
show facility.
Liability: The exhibitor is responsible for the safety, health, and well-being of their goat. The Summer Sizzler
assumes no responsibility and or liability for any animal(s), property(s), and/or person(s) attending this event.
No representative or attendee of the 2017 Summer Sizzler, or associated business or individuals, participants
or spectator will be held responsible for any illness, injury, damages, or loss of animal person, or property, in
