MUKWANO OFFERS 1000 CARTONS OF AQUA SIPI MINERAL WATER FOR 2015 CANCER RUN
Mukwano Group of Companies will for the second year running support the annual Cancer Run with provision of
AQUA SIPI Mineral Water.
Mukwano has offered Rotary Uganda, the organizers of the Cancer Run, 1000 cartons of AQUA SIPI which
participants will drink.
Mukwano Head of Sales Mr.Tom Turakira handed over the water to a team of Rotarians at the company’s head
office in Industrial Area. The run scheduled for 30th August, 2015 will start and end at Kololo Independence Ground
“We appreciate the enormous contribution of Rotary Uganda and its partners in the fight against cancer by raising
funds through the annual Cancer Run. In the same measure we convey our compliments to Rotary Uganda for
completion of the Cancer Centre at Nsambya Hospital using proceeds from this annual event,” Mr. Turakira stated.
Mukwano’s CSR initiatives focus on health, sports and environment so the Cancer Run within our community
support scope.
We are eager to participate in this year’s edition of the run through which funds to build a blood bank at Mengo
Hospital will be raised.
“This event also promotes healthy living because it encourages participants to exercise regularly as they prepare
for the run and usually pick on the good practice of jogging,” Turakira said.
AQUA SIPI which is endorsed by Olympic and World Champion Stephen Kiprotich, is proud to be associated with
such a sporting event for a noble cause.
Kiprotich would have loved to participate but he is away in Beijing, China to defend his title at the Athletics World
Championship this Saturday.
Mukwano has offered 500 cartons of AQUA SIPI Mineral water for participants to Kip sipping as they run and we
will in addition provide media through which Rotary Uganda will mobilize people to take part in the run.
We look forward to an enjoyable run and achieving the main goal of raising sufficient funds to build the blood bank.
We encourage as many people as possible to contribute to the construction of the blood bank by registering for the
run.
Participants’ registration for 5km, 10km and 21km categories is impressive.
