Referencing using footnotes and Chicago 15thA output
style with EndNote
Sample Text showing footnotes and bibliography
(see bottom of page for footnotes and end of document for bibliography)
The artists of Melbourne gathered at Heide. 1 Sunday
Reed was their hostess. 2
Amongst the noted works
created at Heide were the Ned Kelly series of paintings
by Sydney Nolan. 3
Heide is now the site of the Museum of Modern Art in
Melbourne. 4 Today, the house and its grounds stand as
an important legacy of Sunday’s artistic patronage.

NB. The citation may appear in the footnote in its unformatted state.
Select “

4. create ‘et al’ to replace list of authors (see footnote 3)

For et al to appear select edit output style as above

5. create a shortened citation for subsequent citations (see footnote 4)
•

For the shortened form of a title to appear in the citation a short title must

Manual of Style, (15th ed.), 16.42.
