Abstract
The SME produces and supplies highly
concentrated and stabilised specific microorganisms for environmental biological
technology.Its bio-treatment solutions have been
successfully tested in domestic waste water,
industrial waste water treatment plants, ponds
and contaminated soil treatment. It seeks
technical cooperation with formulators of
biological activators, industries with water and
soil treatment issues, operators of sewage
treatment, service company providing biotreatment solutions.
Description
Historically, the SME is linked to a Biotechnology Unit
with strong know-how in fermentation, formulation,
encapsulation, and drying of microorganisms. As part
of their R&D activity, they have developed an
innovative encapsulation process for active biological
substances.
Since 2002, the spin-off produces and markets microorganisms preparations using non-pathogenic
bacteria (Bacillus spores, Pseudomonas...) that are
specific to environmental technology.
Its services include:
- Supplying its own mix of microorganisms
- Selection of microorganisms and development of
customized formulations
- Development of innovative formulations (entrapped
microorganisms...)
- Technical support for formulation development

All these products have been already tested with
success for the following uses: septic tanks, waste
water treatment, ponds and soil.
Innovations and advantages of the offer
Using micro-organisms is a natural and environmental
-friendly way of treating waste water and soils
More specifically, the formulations with Bacillus
spores offered by IMBP have many advantages :
- Spores are very concentrated (up to 1.1011 CFU/g)
reducing the volume to be transported
- Compared to traditional products, they have a long
period of storage: more than 5 years storage without
loss of viability and with rapid revitalisation
- According to their specific bioactivity, they can
accelerate the biodegradation rates
- They can be customized according to the specific
industrial requirements for treating the pollution in the
best possible way
Moreover, the advantage of encapsulation is the
delaying effect of bacterial action. Thanks to
encapsulation, bacteria are gradually released, which
is particularly recommended for devices that need
continuous maintenance.

The company is offering three types of preparations two solid (powdered or encapsulated) and a liquid
one.
