CONDITIONS FOR
DOCUMENTARY CREDITS.
VALID FROM MAY 2009.
The general conditions outlined on the following
pages apply to transactions in euro and foreign
currency, and relate to ordinary transactions with
Bank Austria. The prices indicated in brackets apply
to orders handled via Tr@deConnect.
Documentary credits are subject to the “General
Terms and Conditions of UniCredit Bank Austria AG”
as amended at any given time and to the “Uniform
Customs and Practice for Documentary Credits” of
the International Chamber of Commerce in Paris.
Upon request, we will be pleased to send you
our conditions for transactions not mentioned in this
tariff of charges by mail or fax. Please contact your

Conditions for documentary credits – export.
For advising a documentary credit (without adding our
confirmation)
1‰ advising commission for every 90 days of validity or fraction
thereof
Minimum: EUR 80.00 (EUR 70.00)
For confirming a documentary credit
Minimum 1‰ confirmation commission for every 30 days of
validity or fraction thereof
Minimum: EUR 150.00
Note: For countries having high transfer risks, the confirmation
commission is higher.
For payments against documents and/or negotiation
and/or taking up of documents including payments
made in the absence of documents, respectively for
taking up documents under financial loans
EUR 160.00 (EUR 130.00)
plus 5‰ negotiation/payment commission
Commission (in addition to item 2) where documentary
credits provide for deferred payment
For unconfirmed documentary credits:
1‰ deferred payment commission for every 90 days, or fraction
thereof, of payment terms according to credit terms
Minimum: EUR 80.00 (EUR 70.00)
For confirmed documentary credits:
Minimum 1‰ deferred payment commission for every 30 days,
or fraction thereof, of payment terms according to credit terms
Minimum: EUR 160.00
Note: For countries having high transfer risk, the deferred
payment commission is higher.
For amendments (unless the amendment is subject to
another commission)
EUR 80.00 (EUR 70.00) ammendement commission
For the registration or acknowledgement of an
irrevocable payment order to a third party out of the
proceeds

For transferring a documentary credit

General.
Unless otherwise instructed, all charges and fees are to be paid by the party initiating the transaction.
If necessary, charges expressed in euro will be converted into foreign currency at the prevailing rates of exchange.
Correspondent’s charges are credited additionally unless otherwise agreed. Out-of-pocket expenses such as postage, telex
fees, stamp duties etc. are charged in addition to fees.
Where the execution of an order involves extra work, the additional cost to the bank will be debited likewise.
These conditions are only indicative, they are contingent upon the complexity of the letter of credit.
Conditions for documentary credits – import.
For issuing a documentary credit.
1‰ (0.9‰) opening commission for every 30 days of validity or
fraction thereof
Minimum: EUR 160.00 (EUR 130.00)
For payments against documents and/or negotiation
and/or taking up of documents including payments
made in the absence of documents, respectively for
taking up documents under financial loans.
EUR 60.00 (EUR 30.00)
plus 5‰ negotiation/payment commission
Commission (in addition to item 2) where documentary
credits provide for deferred payment.
1‰ (0.9‰) deferred payment commission for every 30 days, or
fraction thereof, of payment terms according to credit terms

For handling consignments of goods placed at our
bank’s disposal or sent to our address.
