November 29, 2011, Dedham, MA—AliMed has launched its new personal safety products from
SilverPlus. These new personal safety devices come in the form of a watch or pendant, and
enable users to take an active role in managing their own health and safety in and around their
home, without the complications of costly monthly payments or service contracts.
These 8-in-1 devices, called the SilverCare Watch Kit and the SilverCare Pendant Kit, provide
alert aids, fall-prevention aids, and safety and well-being aids. In the case of a personal
emergency, the wearer can actually engage in two-way communication with family, neighbors,
or emergency personnel by speaking directly into the pendant or watch.
“This is a true breakthrough in personal emergency care since most medical alert devices do not
have voice capabilities through the watch or pendant,” said Steven Tom, Vice President of
Marketing and Business Development for SilverPlus.
The alert aids not only provide two-way communication, but also priority help calling (up to 6
people of the user’s choice), dedicated 911, and remote call answering (the wearer can answer
the phone with the watch or pendant and talk directly through the console or base).

our proprietary Person-Based Communication (PBC) technology, which enables seniors to talk
directly to a caregiver or 911 from anywhere in their home, providing them a better way to

One may also add the SilverLite Remote Switch Activator, which allows the user to turn lights
on and off wirelessly.
It provides further safety and well being with medication and appointment reminders, and ICE
(In Case of Emergency) provides emergency personnel with access to the user’s medical
conditions, allergies, and blood type. It can also notify a loved one or neighbor that the user has
left home and returned safely.
“With most medical alert devices, seniors can only communicate through a stationary base
console next to their phone,” Tom added. “SilverCare is different, because with our PBC
devices, they can now talk directly from their watch or pendant, anywhere within their home.
This way, they’ll know immediately that they have reached someone and that help is on the
way.”
