Dear Editors, We are writing to submit our manuscript entitled “Potential antibacterial, antifungal, antiviral and larvicidal activities of greenly synthesized silver nanoparticles in Citrullus colocynthis aqueous extracts” for consideration for "Fast track" publication in "International Journal of applied research in natural products (IJARNP)” There is a growing need to discover effective, cheap and environmentally benign products that are safe for use. Natural products from plants are a rich source to identify, select and process new biotechnological products to serve this goal well. In fact, the field of nanotechnology has gained momentum over the past two decades with a broad range of potential applications, such as increasing bioavailability of a drug, biological labeling, biosensing, antibacterial activity, antiviral activity, detection of genetic disorders, gene therapy and DNA sequencing. The aim of this study was to investigate the antimicrobial, antiviral and larvicidal activities of the Citrullus colocynthis silver nanoparticles and to demonstrate their mode of action against Gram-positive Staphylococcus aureus and the Gramnegative Escherichia coli. Our results led to that the greenly synthesized C. colocynthis /SNPs as antimicrobial agents have come up as a promising candidate offering a practical solution. Transmitted Electron Microscope (TEM) analysis of morphological changes in bacterial cells after nanosilver treatment showed a break through the permeability of outer membrane resulting in the leakage of cellular materials causing a bactericidal action against Gram-positive S. aureus and the Gram-negative E. coli. The SNPs in leaves and roots AEs had moderate antiviral activity against hepatitis A virus, Herpes simplex virus type I and Herpes simplex virus type II. The SNPs showed a significant larvicidal activity against 3rd instars larvae of Culex pipens mosquito Because of our results provide a reference point for further research, to investigate the chemical components of C. colocynthis. We believe that greenly synthesized SNPs of C. colocynthis can be developed into a broad spectrum valuable industrial pharmaceutical product. they are likely to be of great interest to the vision scientists and researchers who read your journal. This manuscript describes original work and is not under consideration by any other journals. All authors approved the manuscript and this submission. Thank you for receiving our manuscript and considering it for review. We appreciate your time and looking forward to your response. Best Regards The authors
