Foam-Control® EPS
Cavity Wall
A high performance continuous insulation (ci)
for cavity wall applications.
Foam-Control EPS is a cost-effective, durable, and energy
efficient solution for cavity wall applications. It is an ideal
material to stop energy loss in brick faced residential and
commercial masonry and framed walls. Foam-Control EPS is
available in a range of thicknesses to meet your local continuous
insulation energy code requirements.

Saves energy - no thermal breaks
Superior moisture resistance
Meets building code requirements for ci insulation
NFPA 285 compliant assemblies
Installs quickly between brick ties
No R-value loss or thermal drift
Benefits.
Foam-Control EPS provides continuous insulation meeting
energy codes. Foam-Control EPS installs quickly over masonry
and framed wood and metal walls. Foam-Control EPS is
lightweight, easy to cut, and comes in custom widths and
lengths to accommodate any brick tie spacing and is the most
cost effective continuous insulation available.

Foam face-off:
Choosing Foam-Control EPS Cavity
Insulation over XPS and Polyiso.
• EPS can easily vary density, thickness, and size to meet project R-values
• EPS has a higher water vapor permeability, high
drying potential
• EPS is less-expensive than XPS and ISO products
• Can be fabricated to any size
• No R-value loss or thermal drift
• No CFC, HCFC, HFC, or formaldehyde
• Multiple NFPA 285 Assemblies
• Foam-Control EPS with
available to provide resistance to termites
Proven to meet, or exceed, building codes.
Foam-Control means control, not compromise.
Foam-Control EPS is manufactured under
an industry leading quality control program
monitored by UL and further recognized in
ICC-ES Evaluation Report ER-1006 and UL
Evaluation Report UL ER11812-01.
Foam-Control EPS is engineered to give you the greatest
control over your cavity wall applications: from design and
timelines, to materials and costs, and – ultimately – control
over your results.
Foam-Control EPS meets ASTM C578, “Standard
Specification for Rigid, Cellular Polystyrene Thermal
Insulation”.
In the cavity wall industry, Foam-Control EPS is the most
versatile, cost effective product available, delivering cost
effective continuous insulation for masonry and framed wall
assemblies. Depend on Foam-Control EPS to do the job.
Installation.
Ready to take control? Start here.
Foam-Control EPS must be installed over structurally sound
masonry, wood framed, or steel framed walls. Wood and
steel framed walls must be sheathed and covered with a
weather resistive barrier. Using mechanical fasteners or
EPS compatible adhesives, install Foam-Control EPS to the
wall butting all joints of the Foam-Control EPS board tightly.
Brick ties and face brick along with proper drainage and
flashing to be installed in accordance with brick industry
specifications. Installation shall be in accordance with
published instructions, details, and drawings that are part of
the contract documents for the project.
If you’re starting to wonder how Foam-Control EPS can
contribute to your next project, here’s how to find out. Just
contact your nearest Foam-Control EPS supplier. They’ll
be happy to give you design consultation, information
about Foam-Control EPS, pricing, and answers to all your
questions. Contact a sales rep and download Foam-Control
EPS documentation at www.foam-control.com.
Note: Climate conditions, code requirements, and building
science dictate the use and position of vapor retarders
within wall assemblies. Consult with local code officials and
building science professionals concerning the use of vapor
retarders.
