Duties and responsibilities will vary from time to time and the post
holder will be expected to perform other such duties that are
reasonably
comparable.

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
To initiate and deliver analytics projects that will help inform
business strategy and marketing campaign activity, with a focus on
relating findings to commercial considerations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITES:

Pro-actively develop analytics programs, based on
understanding of the Group’s business requirements.

Identify where analytics projects can be beneficial for this
business, and propose these to the Research Manager and/or to the
relevant Business Unit.

Utilise segmentation techniques to identify customer groups for
each of the Group’s businesses.

Use further insight and analysis to deliver key learnings on each
group and make recommendations on how each group can be best
exploited.

Use campaign management tools to create and execute targeted email
campaigns using findings from analysis

Utilise other analytical and predictive modelling techniques such
as LTV (lifetime value), RFM (recency, frequency, monetary) and
regression to further improve the understanding of our customers.

Continually review each area of the Groups’ CRM activity
(including data acquisition) and use analysis to identify which
areas are performing well/poorly.

Use initiative and market insight to suggest enhancements to CRM
activity ensuring that clear rationale is presented for any
suggested change, together with projected commercial and nontangible benefits.

Present and explain the results to key stakeholders on the data
collected in a straightforward and non-technical manner to ensure
complete understanding

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

A good knowledge of statistical and analysis techniques and their
application in a commercial marketing environment

Excellent presentational skills of technical content to non
technical audiences

Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills

Experience of database management tools preferable (Alterian,
Faststats, Smartfocus or SAS)

Attention to detail, and good time management skills required

Articulate and confident communicator
