A friendly reminder: This review sheet is to help prepare you for the AP Examination in May.
I recommend that you complete this sheet on loose-leaf or typed. The more resources you
have to prepare the better. You’re your textbook and the AP Review book. I have posted
many resources on the blog. I will be collecting/checking your review sheet the day of the
examination. There is MUCH we have not covered in class, but you will still be responsible
for the material. This unit is will count on 5% of the AP Exam.

Oftentimes there will be artwork, primary document references, etc. that you will be
responsible for knowing.
Don’t over complicate things, think BIG PICTURE. Why are these persons, places, things
important?
Look at similarities and differences between all of these groups/people/time periods
Format of Test:
Multiple Choice (40 questions you only have to choose 30)
Essay (Compare and Contrast)
Directions: You are to answer the following question. You should spend 5 organizing or
outlining your essay.
Write an essay that:
Has a relevant thesis and supports that thesis with appropriate historical evidence?
Addresses all parts of the question.
Makes direct, relevant comparisons
Analyzes relevant reasons for similarities and differences.
Analyze similarities and differences in TWO River Valley Civilizations. You may include
economic, political and /or social comparisons.

Mohenjo-Dara and Harappa (Indus 260 B.C.E.)
Shang China (Huang He 1600 B.C.E.)
