The consultant will be a firm.
Assignment Description
The activity aims to enhance climate resilience of the Kenya's national road network through:
Conducting vulnerability assessment of priority national road corridors (see attached indicative
terms of reference);
Development of Guidelines for the Climate Change Vulnerability Assessment;
Development of Guidelines for Climate Resilience Audit of road engineering designs;
and pilot climate resilience audit of a road engineering design.
The duration of the assignment is about 6 months.
ELIGIBILITY
Eligibility restrictions apply: The firm should not be in the sanctioned/debarred list of the Bank
and should have no conflict of interest.
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
The World Bank Group now invites eligible firms to indicate their interest in providing the
services. Interested firms must provide sufficient information required to evaluate the EoI as per
the qualification criteria. Please note that the total pages of the EoI should not exceed 25 and the
size should be less than 5MB. Consultants may associate to enhance their qualifications.
Interested firms are hereby invited to submit expressions of interest.
Expressions of Interest should be submitted, in English, electronically through World Bank
Group eConsultant2 (https://wbgeconsult2.worldbank.org/wbgec/index.html)
NOTES
Following this invitation for Expression of Interest, a shortlist of qualified firms will be formally
invited to submit proposals. Shortlisting and selection will be subject to the availability of
funding.
Only those firms which have been shortlisted will receive notification. No debrief will be
provided to firms which have not been shortlisted.

Qualification Criteria




1. Provide information showing that firm is qualified in the field of the assignment provide details of at least 3 similar assignments carried out in last 5 years as a lead firm details should contain name of the assignment; country of assignment; value (in USD);
duration; name of the client organization and the name of counterpart; and activities
carried out by the firm. *
2. Provide information on the technical capabilities of the firm in the climate change area
- provide details of at least 5 assignments (excluding the three assignments provided in
the first criteria) carried out in last 5 years. *
3. Provide CV of two key staff, who will be involved with the assignment as either Team
Leader or Co-Team Leader *
4. Provide information on core business and years in business (not more than 2 pages) *
