Destination Downtown 2014 is a tri-state Main Street conference that focuses on downtown restoration and
revitalization by sharing experiences with Louisiana, Arkansas, and Mississippi participants. Destination Downtown
rotates among the three states and has been hugely successful in attracting downtown enthusiasts and Main Street
managers from the region. Please join us in Ocean Springs, Mississippi on September 15-17, 2014 for a great time of fun
and camaraderie as we learn how to “Sustain Creative Communities.”
Conference Objective:
More than 250 professionals are expected to attend the conference, to be held at the Mary C. O’Keefe Cultural Center
in downtown Ocean Springs, MS. Exhibitors will have the unique opportunity to present their products and services to a
diverse audience.
Destination Downtown continues to offer nationally recognized speakers and educational tours that enhance the
participant’s ability to develop as Main Street professionals. We invite quality Exhibitors to share products and
expertise in their areas of downtown revitalization.
The Conference has three main objectives: 1) Address the needs and concerns of towns in the tri-state area. 2) Give the
conference participants the tools to develop their programs to be the best for their communities. 3) Offer a quality
event where participants can have fun while learning and can take something back to implement in their communities.
Target Audience:
This conference is designed for public officials, downtown merchants and property owners, government agencies, staff
members, planners, preservationists, architects, chamber of commerce members, tourism professionals and all others
interested in downtown revitalization.
