ColdHubs Limited is a social enterprise that designs, assembles, installs and commissions solar
powered walk-in cold rooms in markets and farm coops to store and preserve perishable foods 24/7.
ColdHubs aims to ameliorate the impact of food spoilage facing 450 million smallholder farmers
globally.
Our solar powered walk-in cold rooms know as – ColdHubs; eliminates losses of fruits, vegetables and
other perishable food, due to lack of reliable cold storage completely and increases the income of
farmers and retailers because, losses have been eliminated.
We are looking for suitably qualified women who will work as our Cold Rooms Operators, in the
following locations:




Owerri – Relief Market, Owerri
Orlu – Orlu Central Market, Orlu
Ihiala – Nkwo Ogbe Market, Ihiala
Kano – Kura Kafan Market, Garun Mallam Local Government, Kano.
The Cold Room Operator will oversee the loading and off loading of perishable food stored in
plastic crates and stacked in the cold room. She will also collect fees for the daily rental of crates.
Generally, she will undertake tasks for the sound operation of the cold room.
The ideal candidate will work with little supervision. She will be self-motivated and trustworthy.

Responsible for the full operation of the cold room.
Documentation of daily rentals/sales and attending to customers promptly.
Packing and arranging crates inside the cold room.
Issuing receipt and receiving money from customers.
Paying in cash received to our bank agents.
Tagging and maintaining tags on crates.
Perform scheduled daily cleaning, maintenance and sanitization of the cold room.
Report any necessary repair and maintenance of the cold room and its PowerBox.
Record keeping of all maintenance and repairs performed on the cold room and it’s
PowerBox.
Reports daily activity to the Chief Operating Officer using official reporting templates.
Opening/Closing of the cold room for daily operations.
Conducts daily/weekly customer satisfaction survey on customers.
Any other tasks that may be assigned by the Chief Operating Officer.

1-2 years practical working experience in cold room operations.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Must be a female, aged 25 years and above.
Must have at least a WAEC certificate or an Ordinary National Diploma or equivalent.
Ability to manage time and priorities effectively to meet deadlines.
Ability to work well within a team, including others within the company as well as our
contractors and suppliers.
Maintains a positive attitude.
Communicates and shares information in order to deliver results for the team.
Ability to make good decisions as it relates to the safe operation of the cold room and other
systems and escalates issues appropriately.
Experience in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or Business Management will be an
added advantage.
Knowledge of propane refrigeration system and its safety management will be an added
advantage
