Vice President, Marketing and Managed Markets
Greg Barrett is the Acting President of the Daiichi Sankyo U.S. Commercial Division. In
this role, he is responsible for leading all elements of the commercial organization
required to market, sell, and distribute a diverse portfolio of products in the U.S.
In addition, Greg holds the title of Vice President of Marketing and Managed Markets
and is responsible for the P&L budgets for all in-line and near-term products
commercialized in the U.S. His functional area teams oversee the development of brand
strategy and the execution of innovative and comprehensive sales and marketing tactics
in the areas of: franchise/brand marketing, consumer and multichannel marketing,
managed markets access strategy, contract analytics and contract operations,
contracting account management, and managed markets marketing.
Greg began his 16-year career with Daiichi Sankyo as director of marketing. He has
held senior-level positions at Lederle Pharmaceuticals and Schering-Plough, and has
nearly 25 years of U.S. and international pharmaceutical experience in a broad set of
disciplines including: Research & Development, Clinical Development, Market Research,
Sales, Global Business Development, Global Strategy, Global Brand Management,
Marketing, Managed Markets, Marketing & Business Operations functions, and
Executive Management.
He has a B.S. in chemistry and business from Bridgewater University and a master’s
degree in biochemistry from the University of Illinois.
