The Compass for Shareholders
Each year DSW presents a survey in cooperation with the FOM University
(DIPS=German Institute for Portfolio Strategies).
It includes an analysis of investments by private investors.
What were the investment products they invest in?
The following topics were covered:
1. How do investors take investment decisions (own decision/
bank advice etc.)?
2. What were the sources of information used?
3. How was the experience with the bank advice?
4. How long will the investor hold his investment?
5. Details on the composition of the portfolio: percentage of direct
investment in shares, indirect investment in investment funds etc.
6. Did they change the investment strategy from 2012 to 2013?
7. How was the experience with shares in general?
8. How was the return in the last 12 months?
9. How did the investor inform himself about the companies he is invested
in?
10.Which company gave the bet information?
11.What is the favorite share of the investor in 2013?
DSW is interviewing more than 1000 attendees of the DSW-Seminars which
take place all over Germany.
Besides DSW can initiate further surveys via its DSW-Newsletter (more than
10.000 addresses) as well as via the capital market magazine FocusMoney
which has a circulation of more than 120.000 copies only in Germany.
