Christianity
The cross is a symbol of the
Christian religion because the
Romans crucified Jesus to a
cross but three days later Jesus
rose from the dead and
returned to Heaven. The empty
cross, usually favored by
Protestants, reminds Christians
of the resurrection, while the
crucifix, with the body of Jesus
on it, favored by Catholic and
Orthodox churches, is a
reminder of Christ's sacrifice.
Originating in the Eastern Europe during 3oo’s A.D.
in the Roman Empire it quickly spread all throughout
in Europe and the Middle East because of the
religions ability to accept anyone no matter their
social class or stature.
 Christianity is a monotheistic religion, believing in
only one God.
 Christians believe Jesus rose from the dead three
days after his burial, and in so doing made it possible
for those who believe to be forgiven of sin and attain
eternal life. Much of Christian belief and practice
centers on the resurrection of Christ. The most
distinctive belief of mainstream Christianity is the
doctrine of the Trinity, which views the one God as
consisting of three Persons: the Father, the Son
(Christ) and the Holy Spirit.

Judaism
In Judaism it is often
called the Magen David,
which means the "shield
of David" in Hebrew. It
doesn’t have any
religious significance in
Judaism but it is one of
the symbols most
commonly associated
with the Jewish people.
•Judaism, the first and oldest of the three great
monotheistic faiths, is the religion and way of life of the
Jewish people. The basic laws and tenets of Judaism are
derived from the Torah, the first five books of the Bible.
•The most important teaching and tenet of Judaism is that
there is one God, incorporeal and eternal, who wants all
people to do what is just and merciful. All people are created
in the image of God and deserve to be treated with dignity
and respect.
•The Jewish people serve God by study, prayer and by the
observance of the commandments set forth in the Torah.
This faithfulness to the biblical Covenant can be understood
as the “vocation,” “witness” and “mission” of the Jewish
people.

Peter preached to Jews about the events especially the resurrection as
confirmation of who Jesus was. At first, the message of Jesus was brought to
Jews in Jerusalem and Judea and Samaritans, but later God revealed his plan to
open the way to Gentiles. Paul brought with him to the meeting in Jerusalem,
gentile Titus as testimony that God had indeed given the same Spirit to gentiles
as he had to Jews at Pentecost. It was not only Paul but James who was head of
the Church at Jerusalem, that after hearing the dispute, concluded that
circumcision was not required. So the split with Judaism was not caused by Paul
and this event but over the acceptance of Jesus as the promised Messiah and
belief in his resurrection from the dead. I don't have much to add on the origin of
Islam.
