Vegetation Management
To maximize recreational uses, aesthetic qualities, and
aquatic habitat through aquatic vegetation management!
Before
Lakes and ponds tend to accumulate nutrients as they mature. This can
lead to unsightly growth of nuisance aquatic vegetation. Excessive growth
of vegetation can have a negative impact on the aquatic habitat, aesthetic
qualities, and recreational uses of ponds and lakes. Aquatic Control
has developed three different management plans to care for ponds with
varying levels of nuisance growth.
Clean Lake Maintenance Program
• Normal program runs from April through September
• Includes biweekly inspection of lake/pond and treatments as needed
to maintain acceptable control of nuisance aquatic vegetation
• Provides control of algae and/or submersed weeds
• All chemicals used are registered through EPA
• Chemical selection is based on water uses and needs
• Designed for lakes and ponds with high recreational and
aesthetic demands
After
Monthly Lake Maintenance Program
• Normal program runs from April through September
• Includes once a month inspection of lake/pond and treatments as
needed to maintain acceptable control of nuisance aquatic vegetation
• Provides control of algae and/or submersed weeds
• All chemicals used are registered through EPA
• Chemical selection is based on water uses and needs
• Designed for lake and ponds with moderate algae problems
Custom Maintenance Program
• Program designed around clients specific needs and budgets
• Typically designed for lakes requiring only a limited number
of treatments
Options
• Lake dye, nutrient precipitation, microbial augmentation,
and emergent vegetation control (i.e. cattails)
