Trumps Bullying is Appalling
I have spent 30 years helping children with disabilities feel accepted and a part of their school
environment. Schools are now more inclusive and children are included in many school
activities and classes. The bullying and mocking that used to take place of someone with a
disability, was diminishing and becoming unacceptable.
That is until the Republican presidential nominee thought it was OK to publicly mock a person
with a physical disability in front of thousands of people. He also publicly mocked and bullied
women and called them names that would never be allowed in a school environment, much
less in polite company. He has bullied and mocked the Pope, religion in general, the President,
and anyone that dares to confront his vulgar mouth and behavior.
The sad thing is that we have prominent ministers supporting him and this behavior. We have
parents taking their children to these events to witness his name calling and rude unacceptable
behavior. This one candidate is teaching our children that it is OK to devalue someone else
because of their appearance, religion, disability, or sex.
He has set the moral values and compass of our country back 100 years. I am appalled and
disgusted.
